CTET 2013, Entrance exam for CBSE School Teachers


Do you like to work in Central Government schools like Kendriya Vidyala or Navodaya as a primary or secondary teacher then you need to appear for CTET, Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for becoming teachers primary stage (class I-V) or elementary stage (class VI- VIII).  You need to appear for CTET 2013, Come let us go through the details like Application form, eligibility and Applicability for CTET

What will I get, If I write CTET ?

If you want to become a teacher in central government schools like kendriya vidyalayas and Navodaya vidyalaya samithis then a CTET Certificate is mandatory, You need to pass the CTET Exam to get the certificate. Passing CTET does not mean you will be employed in a central government school, But ctet serves as important eligibility criteria 

Am I eligible to write CTET Primary Stage (paper-i)?

  • senior secondary with atleast 50% and 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)
  • senior secondary with atleast 50% and (Be.El.Ed)4 Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)
  • senior secondary with atleast 50% and 2 Year Diploma in Education (passed or Appearing)
  • Graduation and 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)

Am I eligible to write CTET Elementary stage (Paper-ii)?

  • Graduation and 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)
  • Graduation with atleast 50% and I year B.Ed (Passed or appearing)
  • senior secondary with atleast 50% and (Be.El.Ed)4 Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)
  • senior secondary with atleast 50% and (Ba.Ed / B.Sc.Ed)4 Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (passed or Appearing)
  • Graduation with atleast 50% and I year B.Ed Special Education (Passed or appearing)

How to Apply for CTET 2013

  1. You can Apply online at www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in
  2. Fill the Application Form, Here you need to fill your personal details and details regarding educational qualifications and percentage of marks
  3. Pay The Examination Fee by syndicate bank challan/ post office and debit/credit card
  4. Print Confirmation page and send to CBSE Address only through Speed post / Registered post.
Please note that only way to apply for CTET 2013 is through Online at cbse or ctet website, don't search for CTET Application form

It is very important to note that you may appear in CTET an number of times till you qualify or also may appear for CTET to improve ones score.

Last Date for Submission of Online Application : 16.04.2013
Last Date for reciept of Confirmation page at CBSE or CTET : 22.04.2013

CTET 2013 EXAM SCHEDULE :
PAPER I (Primary stage) : 28.07.13 , Time : 10:30 -12:00 hrs
PAPER II (Elementary stage) : 28.07.13 , Time : 13:30 -15:00 hrs

Fees for CTET Exam
Paper I or Paper II - Rs 500 (Gen & OBC) and Rs 250 (SC/ST or Diff Abled)
Paper I&II - Rs 800 (Gen & OBC) and Rs 400 (SC/ST or Diff Abled)
